The Motherland

I guess we should have started with this one first. Why a spring break trip to Oklahoma? 2007 is the centennial anniversary of Oklahoma's statehood. There are a lot of special things happening and we are going to hit a lot of places we have never been and a few we never miss.

The loop thru Oklahoma will include stops in far eastern Oklahoma, the Winding Stair Mountains, up thru "Green Country" and the Illinois River with a run thru the Tall Grass Prairie Reserve in Osage County and then on to the Little Sahara sand dunes at Waynoka in "Red Carpet Country".

It's about a 1500 mile trip over 9 days.
